I was introduced to the "mouse" at the age of 12 and it has become my obsession ever since. I think those around me humour me for the most part, but to anyone that just gets the magic and feels pixiedusted then they understand that Disney World truly is the happiest place on earth, where you are allowed to be a child, where wonderful magical things happen, where the most amazing memories are made and where you feel like you are giving a special gift to those who choose to come with you.
I have been sooo lucky to be able to take as many trips as I have, its not easy when you're in the UK! But if I lay it out for all of you in order (and this won't be easy actually):
- December 1990 - WDW!!(offsite villa with my grandparents)
- July 1995 - Disneyland (a california trip with my grandparents)
- May 1998- Disneyland Paris (with my fiancee)
- January 2002 - WDW!! Mystic Dunes resort (now husband, my DD aged 2 and my DS aged 5 months)
- April 2002- Disneyland Paris (my grandfather and DD aged 2)
- May 2003 - Disneyland Paris (husband, DD3 and DS nearly 2)
- January 2005- WDW! Mystic Dunes resort (husband, DD5, DS3 and DS 1st birthday on the trip, brother in law and his girlfriend)
- August 2005 - Disneyland Paris (husband)
- August 2006 - WDW! Polynesian resort (husband)
- October 2006 -WDW!! Coronado Springs resort (DD7, DS5, grandfather, DD's best friend and her mum)
- August 2007- WDW!! Port Orleans French Quarter resort(my 2 best friends)
- December 2007- WDW!! All Star Movies/ Wilderness Lodge resort (DD8, DS6, DS3)
- August 2009- WDW!! Pop Century (my lovely boyfriend)
- DECEMBER 2010- WDW!! Pop Century /Mystic Dunes resort (DS9, DS6, my mum)
So as you can see I have taken quite a few trips, and with many different groups of people! I have been fortunate enough to share it with my children, partners, friends and each trip has been new and exciting. I am especially excited to be able to finally share my passion with my mum for this trip. She has only been to a disney park once and that was back in 1978 at Disneyland when she was pregnant with me!! See, I was destined to become a disney loving princess :-)
ps: for anyone that doesn't speak internet forum, DD stands for darling daughter and DS is for darling son, the numbers correspond to their age....just wanted to clear that up :-)
